  • November 28 -  An article "Waarom de alarmbellen op Schiphol niet afgaan. #Scanners. Met de nieuwe technologie kun je kleinere objecten zien" about recent progress in the development of UWB imaging radar technology in TU Delft and TNO published in De Pers and DeOndernemer sites (here is a local copy of published article) 

  • November 23 - Venkat Roy, MSc student, who is working under supervision of Dr. Homayoun Nikookar, received the Best student paper award at the 18th IEEE Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technology in the Benelux , Ghent, Belgium for the paper "Performance Evaluation of a Wavelet Packet-based Spectrum Estimator for Cognitive Radio Applications". Our congratulations!

  • March 31 - The Telecommunications Colloquium: presentations of A.S. Turk (Yildiz Teknik Universitesi, Istanbul, Turkey), D. Tran (MTS-R) and W. Brink (Leiden University Medical Center)

  • March 26 - Emeritus Professor Leo Ligthart was awarded honorary membership of the Electrical Engineering Student Association (ETV - Elektrotechnische Vereeniging) for his exeptional efforts. L. Ligthart regularly accompanied excursions and provided ETV with contacts abroad. This news has been announced in the Delft Outlook  magazine, number 2, 2011, page 27.
