Biography

Maria Spanou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Maria holds a Diploma in Computer and Communication Engineering from University of Thessaly, Greece, as well as a MSc degree in Physics and Engineering in Medicine from University College of London.

In her Diploma thesis she joined the Microelectronics Systems laboratory(LSM) in École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne(EPFL) working on the Design Flow, Modeling and Characterization of Through Silicon Via (TSV) for 3D Integrated Circuits. In her master Thesis, she joined the Implantable Devices laboratory, as well as the Electronic Engineering laboratory in University College of London in close collaboration with London center of Nanotechnology working on a process variation study on implanted sensor electronics(Part of EU Project Neuwalk, WP3). In TU Delft, Maria's research is focused on the field of behavioral modeling and long term learning algorithms of mismatched antenna and antenna tuners for mobile communication systems.
