MSc T Dash
Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems (MS3), Department of Microelectronics
Expertise: Antenna design; Weather radar
Biography
Tworit was born in Nayagarh, Odisha, India in 1994. He received his B-Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree in 2016 from The College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, India, department of Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering. During his bachelor’s degree, he spoke at different open source programming conferences on hardware and software projects related to the Internet of Things (IoT).
After receiving his B-Tech degree, he worked at Robert Bosch, India from 2016 to 2018. He worked as a level one on-board diagnostics (OBD) Calibration Engineer for automotive applications in passenger cars.
He completed his MSc (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, and Sensing Systems track in 2020. His MSc thesis was on “Computationally Efficient Conical Horn Antenna Design”. The thesis project was done in association with the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON) for the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) project.
In September 2020, he joined the Microwave, Sensing, Signals, and Systems group as a Ph.D. student. The goal of his Ph.D. project is the retrieval of the wind speed in 3D and its spatial-temporal variations that can be used to characterize an important atmospheric phenomenon known as the turbulence using weather radars.
