Biography
Apostolos Pappas was born in Ioannina, Greece, in 1997. He obtained his bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in Electrical & Computer Εngineering from the University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece in 2020. After completing his military service, he joined TU Delft as a full-time MSc student in 2021 and graduated in 2023 (cum laude). During that time, he specialized in radar signal processing and radar-based object classification and characterization using Deep Learning techniques among others. He completed his MSc thesis at TNO, where he worked on radar-based drone characterization using Multi-Task Learning. In September 2023 he joined the Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems (MS3) group as a PhD candidate.
