MSc thesis project proposals

The researchers of the MS3 group are world-wide recognized professionals who are actively working within the wide areas of their research interests. We also collaborate with many companies, industrial and research organizations in the Netherlands, Europe and worldwide. Based on our active research interests and contacts we provide to our students the opportunity to select for their master thesis project one of the modern, novel, hot and interesting research topics. In most cases, the achieved within such a project results can be presented in international conferences and published as a journal paper. The MSc thesis project can be done in TU Delft or in collaborating company or organization (TNO, Thales, NXP, etc).

At the beginning of every calendar year in January, we organize the MSc projects market event and release the brochure with research topics currently proposed by us and by our partners (see links below). Note that the list of these topics can change quite dynamically, so keep an eye on the list of projects. It is also possible to adapt the research topic and the related assignments to the specific interests and skills of the students, so get in touch if you are interested in any of the topics listed and want to know more.

The main focus is going to be the classification of birds, aka species recognition, using the deep learning of micro-Doppler patterns of the targets' wingbeat.

Radar orientation in GNSS-denied areas (16.03.2023)

The project is related to studying different existing solutions for radar orientation in GNSS-denied areas, to the theoretical analysis of their performances and capabilities, and experimenting with one or more of them in combination with a radar system.
